get off the ground, and later became Warner’s girlfriend Sheila ( Sarah Snook), who married Ty after Robbie kicked him to the curb and Maya (Geraldine Viswanathan), the college undergrad who took a minimum-wage job at Ty’s company, only to become the brains behind its eventual billion-dollar valuation.Īnd, to be fair, Galifianakis is damn good at playing a beguiling, flamboyant toy tycoon, which he does in The Beanie Bubble without a stitch of irony. There’s Robbie ( Elizabeth Banks), the woman who helped Ty Inc. Warner was a charismatic and driven entrepreneur, and like most enterprising men, he had little concern for the women around him. The Beanie Bubble is based on Zac Bissonnette’s 2015 book The Beanie Bubble: Mass Delusion and the Dark Side of Cute, a title that itself seems a tad misleading, given how relatively tame Ty Warner’s misdeeds actually were, according to the film. But like other recent Hollywood efforts to capitalize on that sweet, wistful feeling, nostalgia can’t take the place of a decent script and an engrossing story-no matter how cute the object at the center of it is. The movie does touch on some of your old favorites: Legs the Frog, Spooky the Ghost, and even a brief shot of the very mythic, yet not-at-all-expensive-to-buy-today Princess Diana bear. Unfortunately, it’s also a fitting descriptor for The Beanie Bubble, a beyond-bland corporate biopic that’s as soft and trendy as its titular sensational stuffed animals.įor those of us lucky enough to be cognizant during the Beanie Babies boom of the 1990s, The Beanie Bubble will certainly conjure a decent amount of pleasant nostalgia. Over and over throughout The Beanie Bubble-Apple TV+’s second cash-in on the seemingly undying corporate biopic trend this year, streaming July 28-characters repeat one word: “understuffed.” It’s an adjective used by toy company magnate Ty Warner, played here by Zach Galifianakis, to describe the signature product in his eponymous plush empire, Beanie Babies.

Not the first time I've tried to emulate this game, but this just happened to be by far the best, on a real game console, without putting any effort into it. The N64 blocky geometry is actually charming when you take away the insanely low textures, aliasing, 20fps and ailing control sticks. It looked so clean and controlled so well it felt like there had to have been some actual work done on the game, but there wasn't. I would say it's kind of a plus point that you can also do emulation on these consoles(you can still do them on the xbox one S/X but their CPUs aren't powerful enough) but you are better of just getting a Steamdeck if you strictly want one for emulation."That moment" for me was after I set up the controls in Star Fox 64's training mode and then realized I was playing the first level with no lag, no jaggies and no compromises in high-res on real plug-and-play console and good controller. With retroconsoles you gotta stick with retroarch, then with PS1 emulation you can use the standalone duckstation UWP app and with PS2 emulation you can use the PCSX2 UWP build.įor gamecube/Wii,you can use the dolphin core inside retroarch but i heard it still has a lot of issues and the setup is i would say more time consuming than setting all of this up on a PC.Perfomance is great overall but the main problem for me atleast is that whenever you encounter a glitch or rendering error in a game you are trying to emulate, googling those doesn't help a lot as there are not a lot who use these consoels for emulation. Xbox Series X/S on the other hand.is kind of okay. You can only emulate upto PS2 games,no PS3/switch/WiiU/3DS emulation. Plus portability is always a good thing, you can just lie down in your bed and play a switch game exactly like how people would play once you set the emualtor up(it also supports gyro to be used in games like BOTW).Switch emulation is still pretty good btw, most nintendo exclusive games are playable with higher frame rates and resolution with battery life close to a V1 switch. The compatibilty is huge because it's a handheld PC at the end of the day you know.although the initial setup takes a while it's well worth it and i think that's why most people buy it(and to play PC games at that) + perfomance is really good, you don't need to upscale games to 4K/1440P as it has only a 800P Screen so consumes less power and you can increase the power consumption depending on the emulator and game at end.Īt the very worst,RPCS3 is the most demanding out of all emulators and many games don't run well even with a higher TDP especially trying a game like Skate 3(one of the most demanding game in RPCS3 as it maxes out 100% of GPU and CPU) it doesn't even lock to 30FPS with battery life around 40 mins. This is not the case for everygame though,i think you can play any Wii/Gamecube game for 3-4 hours straight as they are not CPU/GPU intensive,it all comes down to tweaking the settings manually to get optimal perfomance for each game based on how intensive they are. SteamDeck can emulate all retro consoles via retroarch,PS2 using PCSX2,Gamecube/Wii using Dolphin emulator,WiiU using Cemu,3DS using citra PS3 using RPCS3,Xbox using Xenia and most importantly above all is emualting switch via Yuzu/Ryujinx. Weird, used a different link to sign up (which I found somewhere on a Microsoft help page) and it just worked. I went through the account settings for my private account two times from start to end and have no clue which setting could prevent my account from signing up as a MS partner. I could understand receving this message on my business accounts (even though I administrate them myself and haven't placed any such restrictions on my Azure AD tenants), but not on my private account. Logging in using different devices (2 different PC and various tablets and smartphones), using different browsers, deleting cache etc didn't help either. I tried logging in with my personal, private Microsoft (which I also use for Xbox Live) as well as various business accounts and always encounter the same problem. When I log into the MS Partner Center I can briefly see the main page listing all the available programs, but then it quickly switches to another page and I'm logged in with restricted rights, informing me to contact my administrator to get permissions to perform any actions in the Partner Center. Yesterday I decided to set up my Series S as my dedicated emulation machine via the dev mode method, but I'm running into a problem right at the beginning and I was wondering if anyone has encountered the same problem and maybe even has a solution for it? “I will never forget the first time I saw it, so for people to compare such a film to what I’ve done with my first film, I’m just blown away by that.” “I think it’s a tremendous comparison because ‘Paris Is Burning’ was so groundbreaking when it happened,” she recently told CNN. The progress time varies accordingly no matter the accumulated playback time is automatically accumulated or is changed manually. The loop mode and loop count decide the correspondence of playback location and accumulated playback time. The accumulated playback time and progress time can be accessed through time and current fields, whereas accumulated playback time can be manually set but progress time is read only. Obviously process time is always in the range. The initial accumulated playback time is 0 and it’s self accumulated while playing automatically. Playback TimeĪn animation state traces the accumulated playback time of an animation. Animation states are somewhat similar to a player, which for example pause and alter the speed of animation.Īnimation states are represented by class AnimationState. When the animation got to be played, target object is bound to the animation clip, the playback state is so called animation state. Animation clips describes animation data for specific kinds of objects and do not bind to individual target object. Records your display, webcam, microphone and system sound. The third level can be reached via the Mod3, which under QWERTZ corresponds to the Caps Lock key and the # key, and contains common punctuation and special characters. The first two levels correspond to the German lowercase and uppercase letters and can be reached by switching as usual layouts. Instead of pursuing a purely mathematical or experimental path, Neo combines the insights of both paths with the goal of improving both the ergonomics and memorization of the keyboard layout. The drafting of the letter positions took into account the experience from other keyboard layout reforms. In addition, using Neo the hands shall alternate as often as possible during writing and their use be evenly distributed - the QWERTY keyboard layout is very left-heavy. This allows more words to be written without leaving the baseline compared to other keyboard layouts.įor an average German-language text 63% of all letters can be typed from the baseline with fingers on the home row - in contrast to 25% in the usual QWERTZ-layout. The most common letters are therefore on the baseline and the fast index and middle fingers. On the basis of the statistical distribution of letters of the German language and research on ergonomics, the neo-keyboard layout aims to shorten the finger movements during writing. Neo is grouped in different layers, each designed for a special purpose. The current layout Neo 2.0 has unique features not present in other layouts, making it suited for many target groups such as programmers, mathematicians, scientists and LaTeX authors. The high frequency keys are placed in the home row. It is based on ideas from de-ergo and other ergonomic layouts. The design tries to enforce the alternating usage of both hands to increase typing speed. English is considered a major target as well. The positions of the letters are optimized not only for German letter frequency, but also for typical groups of two or three letters. The Neo layout is an optimized German keyboard layout developed in 2004 by the Neo Users Group, supporting nearly all Latin-based alphabets, including the International Phonetic Alphabet, the Vietnamese language, and some Cyrillic languages. In terms of the historical claim, if one investigates the historical records and various theological writings, there are quite a few references to the burial linens of Jesus. I will also have a Postscript at the end of the article to highlight some important recent information regarding the damaged credibility of the Shroud’s C-14 test. See my eight-hundred-page book, The 1988 C-14 Dating Of The Shroud of Turin: A Stunning Exposé. But, serious problems have been noted about that dating test. Crucifixion was outlawed in the 4th century, so it’s unlikely that the Shroud dates later than that. It has real blood on it and was not produced by an artist. They concluded that the image was that a real form of a scourged, crucified man. Impressively, they published their findings in twenty-four peer-reviewed scientific journals. These claims conflict with the findings in 1978 of scientific team called the Shroud of Turin Research Project, which performed a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary testing of the cloth. That claim, along with the supposedly “95% confidence” factor of the 1988 C-14 dating of the Shroud to 1260-1390, makes skeptics feel confident that the Shroud is simply a medieval forgery. On the contrary, the Shroud of Turin (or Turin Shroud), as it is known today, was only called that starting in 1578, when the cloth was brought to Turin, where it has been ever since, apart from a few years during World War II, when it was moved from Turin to protect it from Adolf Hitler. One of the most common claims by those skeptical of the authenticity of the Turin Shroud, believed by many to be the burial cloth of Jesus, is that there are no references in history to Jesus’ burial shroud before it surfaced in Lirey, France about the mid-1350s.
